Our mission is to elevate the data literacy and design standards of the MSP area through three core pillars:

Nobody sees the dataset until the clock starts. Then everyone gets the same data at the same moment, with total freedom of tools: D3 or ggplot2, Tableau or Excel, Claude Code or colored pencils. Build whatever you see in it, share it in sixty seconds, and discover how differently the room read the same numbers.

A structured feedback hour for charts in progress, at any stage and in any tool. Each chart gets a timeboxed crit: the presenter names their audience and one question, readers say what the chart actually communicated before suggesting changes, and the presenter gets the last word. No advance submission; just show up and share your screen.

We'll replicate the classic experiments of visual perception as applied to data visualization — rebuild them as tiny web apps, try them for ourselves, and compare what we find with the published results. Coders and non-coders both welcome.
